In addition to nudging students into thinking of converting their floating ideas into successful business ventures, we, at C-TIDES, also work to nurture their fledgling ideas , helping them grow and prosper. The cell has helped incubate ideas that have grown into promising enterprises. The incubates ideas span a wide range of sectors, from IT services, software, electronics, education, travel and tourism among others.
C-TIDES helps support start up ventures of the IIT Madras family, which includes its students, alumni and professors. The Incubation Centre lends logistic support by helping provide the nascent organizations with basic office space and amenities. There is also a provision for lending support financially through a corpus set up by the institute's alumni. Incubatees can leverage the vast pool of mentoring resources, made available to them through C-TIDES, which include access to several top brass venture capitalists, consultants and serial entrepreneurs.
