Who can apply?
Anybody who has an interesting idea / or an existing business and is looking for some financial support. While preference would be given for applications from the IIT Madras community, there is no restriction whatsoever on who can apply for support.
What type of ventures do we support?
This venture fund is technology agnostic – any sector, any business can be considered under this scheme.
How much of funding support would be provided?
Up to Rs. 0.8 million. 15% of the total fund requirement should be supported from your personal and other sources. i.e., of the total fund requirement the scheme would provide for 85% of the requirement, upto a maximum of Rs. 0.8 million.
Is there a deadline for applications?
The applications would be considered on a rolling basis. We encourage you to submit your applications at the earliest.
In addition to financing, what additional support can we expect from IIT Madras?
- A high quality advisory board would provide mentorship support to all the incubates
- Incubatees would have access to the vast network of contacts of IIT Madras
- Support to raise the next round of funding
- Support of the student led Entrepreneurship organizations namely C-TIDES and ASES.
- Leverage the infrastructure of IIT Madras labs, centres and computing facilities.
